Peridot also called Chrysolite, is a gem-quality olivine, which is ratherrare because larger, clear olivine crystals aren't as common.
Olivine is a common silicate-mineral rich in magnesium and depending on how much iron is contained in the crystal structure, the intensity of green shifts from yellow – to olivine – to brownish-green.
Olivine can be found in AZ as well as in some pallasite meteorites.
