This brass Buddha figure represents Ratnasambhava Buddha, one of the five Dhyani Buddhas from the tantric Buddhist teachings. He is depicted in the meditation seat with crossed legs and a bowl of alms in his left hand. The right arm hangs over the knee with outstretched fingers, the palm of the hand pointing outwards. This is the Varada Mudra, the gesture of wish granting and charity.
The 8 cm Buddha statue is ideal as a gift for a loved one or for your own Buddhist altar at home. Ratnasambhava, the "jewel born", embodies the wisdom of equanimity and should help to overcome pride and arrogance.
