Wanchako incense is made of 100% natural Palo Santo wood and 7 different Andean herbs: Rosemary, Muña, Thyme, Wiracoa, Wallpa Chaqui, Romerillo, Eucalyptus. Can be burned in a shell, can be pulvarised and burned on charcoal or burned like a regular incense stick, with a fitting incense burner.

What are the qualities of Palo Santo?
Palo Santo is also known as Holy wood or Sacred wood. According to tradition, in ancient times shamans and healers already knew the medicinal benefits of Palo Santo and wisely used it to relieve sicknesses such as flu, allergies, headaches and bone problems. Indigenous cultures made use of the wood in a rustic way. Today, much more aesthetically Palo Santo incense is made, that once burned produces smoke that cleanses and purifies the environment from germs, bacteria, evil spirits, bad vibes, and other negative forces.

Palo Santo is widely enjoyed for its energetically cleansing and healing properties. It is a strong remedy that has been popularised for its heavenly presence in keeping energies grounded and clear. In the essence of Palo Santo is the guayaheretico acid, responsible for pain relief. Wachanko – SERFOR certified Palo Santo products
Wachanko products come from a forest managed, authorized and certified by the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation (SERFOR) of Peru. Only Palo Santo trees and branches are used that have fallen down naturally, and have remained in the land for a minimum of 3 to 4 years. During this way of harvesting, no harm is done to nature.

In October of 2018, becoming aware of their responsibility in the use of Palo Santo wood, Wachanko started their first Palo Santo nursery. They have planted 1000 Palo Santo seedlings, to give back to nature what is being used.
